Greetings to everyone this morning.
I am considering the purchase of a C215 CL.
What version would be recommended by all? Are there any commendable options available in the marketplace?
Not inclined to expend excessive funds.
I appreciate it.

The CL500 would be the least expensive option.

I possess a CL600, and the major components are the hydraulic suspension and coil packs. Additionally, there is the customary leak from the oil cooler, which incurs a repair cost of approximately £3,000, yet I tolerate it. Achieving 25-27 miles per gallon during a trip if I exercise caution. An average of 23 miles per gallon.

According to Alabbasi, if you are constraining your finances, the 500 is the optimal choice. You still obtain that exquisite form and a 300 bhp V8 engine.

I appreciate both of your insights, as I am contemplating whether to concentrate on a CL55 or a CL600.

I would contend for neither option unless you have an exceptional unrestricted German autobahn at your doorstep.

If you do, it’s merely a matter of whether you favour tranquil self-assurance or boisterous assertiveness.

Ah, and the facelift model (with only two or three previous owners) is clearly superior, as the first generation was sluggish and reflective of 1990s specifications, while the facelift version aligns with 21st-century standards and is ULEZ compliant.

Acquire C215 for painting purposes solely if you are ready to invest substantial funds or dedicate significant efforts to ultimately achieve your goals.

Only if you are prepared to expend exorbitant amounts of money. The 600s are even more absurd than the 55s.
Bear in mind that the most recent model of these vehicles is now more than two decades old, thus components are likely to fail even in low-mileage cars due to their age.
