What should be the subsequent action? He at least demonstrated how to set it to neutral, but we require robust individuals to propel the vehicle. He had previously encountered two analogous cases - both involving Mercedes. Enquiring whether it is feasible to initiate the car somehow, as I possess the ignition, since it is obstructing my driveway.

Affirmative - the starter motor and its corresponding fuse. My mechanic indicates that this is a prevalent issue, yet it appears to be unfamiliar to the participants of this forum. The diagnostic assessment did not reveal this, which astonished me. I now need to reinstate the remote locking and the micro switch for the passenger door.
