Salutations Everyone,
I have a fan blower that is very noisy when the climate control is turned on (F83 M4); does anyone have any suggestions? At low speeds, it's easy to hear, but as the fan speed increases, it becomes less audible or even disappears altogether.
The noise could be caused by the fan blades catching on something while they spin. With every turn, it makes what sounds like a tapping or clicking noise. Everything else is operating as expected...
Thank you

Take the engine cover off and check to see if anything has gotten inside.

Much obliged. Uncovering an E90 from beneath the glovebox was shown in a video I watched. Do you think the procedure is basically the same, presuming it is still in the same place?

I have not yet removed one, but I can confidently say that it closely resembles e90.

Luckily, the problem was easily resolved, and the fan no longer has the annoying paper parking ticket attached to it. Just one small, tricky screw to remove at the back, but other than that, it only took about 30 minutes.

It took five years for it to manifest, haha, but I'm relieved that it was resolved for you.
