The GT-S Line Sportage with the license plate 22-24 is what I'm after.
Personally, I'd rather have a self-charging hybrid than an MHEV. Unfortunately, I am unable to begin a new insurance quote or transfer my policy from AXA, my auto insurer of over a decade. They just said "Computer said no" without providing any other explanation; perhaps it's because they're a hybrid and don't have much data on them. This happened to anyone else? After 35 years on the road, I still haven't had a single claim. I want to make it clear that other companies on GoCompare will also provide quotes.
So, I'm debating whether to get an MHEV instead, but I'm worried it will be too expensive after driving a Mokka Diesel, which gets about 48 MPG.
Who can tell me the actual gas mileage for these two vehicles?
Anything you can do to assist would be greatly appreciated.

My 2024 Sportage GT-Line HEV has been insured with RAC this year; last year it was with LV (for some reason, LV wouldn't give me a quote for my prior Sportage). It has been a smooth process. What matters most is the current roster of insurance underwriters at AXA, which can change from year to year. Seek elsewhere, as you have suggested.
The Sportage 2021+ forum has several threads about the petrol particulate filter (PPF or GPF) on MHEVs, which you should definitely peruse. Our vehicle pulls a caravan, so I can't speak to its fuel economy because that doesn't apply to us.

I would have thought this would have been fixed by now, but several insurance companies had trouble finding the my26 HEV in their database when I went to get mine.
(I just realised we aren't talking about a 26; I edited to reflect that.)
Is obtaining a new quote online from AXA for it something you've considered? It could provide some insight into the matter.
Are you certain that you are receiving a fair deal by agreeing to stay with them for a decade? On most years, I change.

My 2024 GTL HEV is insured with AXA; I had to pay extra for an ice protection when I made a previous change, but other than that, everything was fine.

In my old Jaguar, I managed to get 34 mpg. My new Kia Sportage HEV (not the plug-in PHEV) is delivering about 44mpg (in London, the battery starts working when I start the car and continues working for a while while I'm in the general 20mph zone). Every year, I pay £800 for my insurance. The Kia PHEv is a great vehicle if you have access to a home charger; however, I am opposed to the idea of using a public charger due to the exorbitant prices in London.
