On the '26 MY, there's a feature that requires you to open and close the rear door before driving. Once you stop driving, you'll hear a bothersome beep that reminds you to check the backseat for things like children or plants.
This works out for me. Additionally, it's quite bothersome because the majority of the time all you're doing is setting a few groceries on the back floor. You might say it's acidic.
How can I turn it off?
BTW, is anyone familiar with the process for disabling the pedestrian pop-up on the '26 model year? I'm just curious. It would be useful if it appeared when pedestrians were detected, but currently it appears randomly while driving, even on the head-up display (HUD). That's annoying.

You can turn off the rear seat reminder by going to the apps menu, then seats. It temporarily disables it, but then it reappears...quite a nuisance.

Having coffee before you start the drive will soon be a thing of the past, haha. Someone has to be a huge nerd to think of these things for our automobiles, right?

At least since 2014, Mercedes has included a dash reminder for when you need a coffee break.

The "Attention Assist" feature, which includes the coffee break reminder, was introduced by Mercedes in 2009.

I appreciate the rear seat check reminder because I live in an area where a child died from heat exhaustion after someone forgot to buckle them in.

I get your point and I get that it can help some people avoid a horrible tragedy, but someone should be able to turn it off if they don't have any babies or young children. Additionally, I would like to mention that the warning sound isn't particularly audible in my 2026 RR, so I'm curious if there are any other options besides the simple on/off switch.

I find that intriguing. I will capture a screenshot of my screen and share it at a later time. If the ATB software is any different from the standard 2026 model, I don't understand.
