Greetings to all. I conducted a search for this issue in the forums prior to posting, so I apologise if it has already been addressed in another discussion.
The blower motor in my BMW has ceased functioning, and I have procured a new resistor for replacement; however, upon attempting to remove the motor, I discovered it is connected to the vehicle through a flexible hose that appears to be heat sealed to the unit, a detail absent from any online guides I have consulted.

I am seeking guidance on how to eliminate it. The sole solution that comes to mind is to sever the hosing, yet I am uncertain about the method to reseal it post-cutting. Any assistance would be immensely valued.

I appreciate your assistance beforehand!

Oh, my apologies, I appreciate your informing me. Should I relocate the post myself or initiate a new post in the appropriate section?

The ducting dislodges from the heater box when the motor is elevated.

I exerted considerable force on the motor from various angles, yet the ducting appeared securely affixed, preventing the motor from being extracted significantly. Am I overlooking something trivial?

I completed a similar task a few weeks ago, which involved merely unscrewing and rewiring before removing the lift motor; the ducting effortlessly slid out of the plastic casing. The only possibility that comes to mind is that someone has previously been present and may have applied sealant or adhesive to the ducting.
