Hello there!
Ukrainian here; my name is Vasyl. My 1996 BMW 528i E39 has been my ride for the past twelve years.
Many OEM retrofits and extensive mechanical and electrical repairs have been performed on the vehicle over the years. Building the car with as many factory options as possible while retaining its classic E39 character has always been my goal.
Presently set up:
Servotronic steering, black headliner, heated front and rear seats, a massaging function for the rear passenger, a fully functional switch panel, front and rear parking sensors, headlight washers, bi-LED projector lenses, LCM 4 from x5, a dashboard with a light/rain sensor, electrically folding mirrors, and a plethora of other features are all standard.
Currently undergoing modification:
Webasto powered by gasoline, electric sun blind in the rear, HomeLink, digital signal processor audio system, double paned windows, and picnic tables in the rear.
Whenever I can, I'm going back to using the car's original factory options in my ongoing effort to make it better. The end goal is to construct a fully loaded E39 with as many original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts and period-correct details as possible.
A lot of work remains, but that's half the joy!
