Hello everyone,

Our 2012 F25, which has 99960 miles, recently had this charming trio perform.

As is our usual, we will be in Greece on Wednesday before setting out on our journey.

Based on my brief research, it seems that this error is not particularly uncommon.

Unless someone can tell me it's a waste of time or doesn't work, I'll try resetting the handbrake and steering based on a couple of videos on YouTube.

What I can do tomorrow morning is simply get the battery tested. I've seen comments indicating that this is a sign that the battery is about to die (it could be the original battery from when it was new; does anyone know what was installed then?)

We did a brief 10-minute trip in the morning, and on a comparable trip home this afternoon, the lights came on after five minutes. Typically, the car is used for long hauls on highways.

I thought it had cleared, but it came back. I stopped and restarted, but it wasn't in the right spot, so I was a little rushed.

We are essentially in the middle of nowhere, but I will look into finding a garage where we can connect the car to a diagnostic machine.

I would highly value any advice you could provide.

Personally, I'd recommend an anti-lock brake system instrument module.

It does sound like a problem with the wheel speed sensor, but we need to read the codes to be sure.

What do you think the level of concern is? Could driving the 1500 miles back to the UK cause more problems, or is it safe to do so?

The transfer box also stores data from speed sensors, so it could cause damage if it tries to increase front wheel drive based on inaccurate data, so I wouldn't recommend driving it back that way.

Hi there, thanks for the quick update.

I was planning to drive the vehicle to a repair shop where our son had his BMW serviced.

I started the car without any warnings. After driving for ten minutes, a warning came up, but it later went away.

I went to a different workshop since the one I wanted to use couldn't be reached. It's close by, has good reviews (however helpful those reviews really are), is neat and tidy, and seems like it could be a better choice.

They will connect the vehicle to the diagnostic system in a few hours.

Hopefully, it's a wheel speed sensor, and they can locate a genuine one. I'm not sure if these are OEM parts from BMW or if they're just generic, off-the-shelf components.

Very soon, I will provide an update.
