Does anyone else have this issue? There seems to be a new problem with my Canton infotainment system (or maybe it's just the electrical system in general) every day or two.

It may take turning off the engine and walking away for a few minutes before you hear any noise at all.

The help and SOS lights, in particular, flash on and off at random.

After a few hours, the Satnav stops trying and stops maintaining a GPS signal.

Plus, that's not all. Despite multiple full resets, nothing has changed. Have I missed a fix somewhere?

I had persistent problems with the infotainment system on my previous Kodiaq (72 Plate - Sportline). Every so often, it would mute itself and refuse to unmute, reboot itself incessantly, and lose control of the steering wheel. Problems with user profiles, password logins, and other naffness were also a continual source of frustration for me.

That's why I decided to leave Skoda, among other things.

It turned out to be associated with some seriously faulty updates to the infotainment software. Unfortunately, there was a patchwork of slightly more flakey ones with the flakey ones. In the past, Skoda's internet services, app, and infotainment system were adequate, but now they're inadequate.

All sorts of comparable issues arose for us. It was determined that the left-hand trunk ground cable connecting the 12V battery to the chassis was loose.

I am unsure if it is the same because I recently experienced the GPS problem and the dynamic speed sign failure on a Mk2. Someone offered me an alternative reset that I could try. I had to reset the 4g connection, but I have no idea if mk1 is the same. This was accomplished by going into the main profile's privacy settings, finding the option to disable 4G, and then selecting the highest privacy setting. After that, turn off the infotainment system, turn it back on, and return the privacy settings to the least private level. After that, the 4g services should be restored. It could be completely different on yours...
