Hello everyone

My apologies if this has been discussed previously. No prior discussion of it came up when I searched the forum.

A rhodium-white 2025 CX-70 3.3 Turbo S Premium with red upholstery was recently mine. It shows some signs of use. I want to have a lot of fun with this car for a long time because it is fantastic.
As I was adjusting the center HVAC vent vanes for the first time, approximately two weeks after purchasing it, the vent tab on the left-center vent snapped.
Unfortunately, the only online store that seems to sell them doesn't have any current tabs, so I'll have to hunt for another one.
Am I limited to taking it to a dealer for repairs? I would assume that the original warranty is still in effect, given that it currently has 21,000 miles on it.

It's unfortunate that your new CX-70's vent tab broke so soon after you got it. Was it brittle when it snapped or did regular pressure cause it to give way? If you could explain what happened in more detail, maybe someone here could offer you some advice on how to handle the service department.

Under typical stress, it snapped. The front slider and the piece that attaches to the slider within the vent vanes simply snapped apart as I attempted to slide it to the right. I recovered it and am now preserving it for the dealer.

Anyway, take it to the dealership and get their opinion. Wishing you the best of luck!
