Mini Cooper from 2003

My 2003 Mini Cooper was just purchased. The original "Modern Mini" was a car that I have always admired. Its shape, wraparound glass, and overall attractiveness made it seem like a natural progression from the Classic Mini. I jumped at the chance to buy it from a friend who was selling his.
I enjoy tinkering with vintage vehicles; my collection includes a 1967 MGB, multiple motorcycles from the 1970s (I adore a two-stroke smoker...), and a Mark 1 TT, which I am currently restoring. So, I am currently cleaning it and replacing any missing parts so that I can get behind the wheel as soon as possible.
I figured it would be wise to sign up for a forum since the knowledge of the group is invaluable.

Some things I think you might find helpful are these:
Schematics for wiring:
This is the link to the wiring diagram:

Check out
https://realoem.com if you're in need of the product name and corresponding part number. Then peruse the BMW brochure. You can narrow the catalog's selection to just the parts for your vehicle by entering the last seven digits of your vehicle identification number. Now that you know for sure that you will get what you want, there's no need to order anything from this site.
I can't believe it, but the dealership (Big shout out to Seattle MINI!) has the lowest prices.
Please obtain the Bentley Service Manual. Although you might find a better deal elsewhere, RockAuto has the lowest price I've seen in the US.
The British Amazon website
You won't believe how affordable they are until you get a price quote!

Next, there's a piece of plastic that doesn't appear to be connected to anything inside the key fob case. Keep it together! To verify the key's validity, the immobiliser reads it. I can't get the car to start without the RFI chip! "Pardon Our Interruption" appears on an eBay page; I have no clue how that came to be. I have never found a better key fob than this one.

Following these steps will help you identify which microswitches on the board need replacing.
