I purchased an Erisin device from Amazon (Amazon.co.uk), along with the DAB antenna unit. YouTube videos facilitated the extraction of the old unit, although it requires patience and plastic levers. Initially, I had to position the GPS puck and DAB antenna. Detracted the left-hand A pillar trim (thanks to YouTube once more) and the dashboard end panel to route cables to the head unit. Utilising a rigid wire proved to be less challenging than anticipated. I installed the DAB unit on the side of the screen and positioned the GPS behind the mirror, concealing all cables behind the trim. The new head unit requires the installation of the original black aerial cable, DAB USB cable, GPS cable, and the original multi-plug. The initial yellow and blue leads are not utilised (GPS and ?). Reassemble everything, and it functions! All functionalities activated, and steering wheel controls operational. These units lack installation instructions, yet they are essentially a straightforward replacement. I could possess rear cameras if I desired. Appears satisfactory, and I now possess DAB, contemporary GPS, FM radio, Apple CarPlay, along with features I do not comprehend!

I endured a vexing few hours attempting to install it, but it repeatedly blew fuses, so I decided to return it.

I contemplated maintaining the industrial aesthetic during my renovation. Completed the installation of a Pioneer head unit; to be honest, I do not miss the original aesthetic as the advantages of the Pioneer configuration prevail consistently. I fully committed to the installation; the GPS, digital, and AM/FM antennas are all integrated within the shark fin, which was somewhat of a challenge to install, but the reception is exceptional. I am capable of navigating central London without the GPS failing.

I might attempt the Erisin unit mentioned above, Wallace. It is unlikely that I will utilise the Dab radio or GPS.

I observe that there are two aerial coaxial cables on the loom; am I permitted to utilise both with this unit or solely the black one? The alternative is for an additional diverse antenna located in the rear screen, I presume.
