Absence of Key Recognition

I possess a 2017 GLE350, which has concurrently manifested two problems.
I received a dashboard notification a few weeks prior in white stating “Change Key Fob Battery,” so I replaced the batteries in the key fobs with two new ones. Shortly thereafter, the key fobs ceased to unlock or lock the vehicle without the necessity of pressing the buttons repeatedly. Receiving additional dashboard notifications stating "No Key Fob Detected" in white and red. I recently had my vehicle serviced B1 by a Mercedes expert I have relied on for years; they performed a system reset and replaced the batteries, but the problem has resurfaced after a week.
The trunk emits a clicking sound when unlocked via the fob, yet it requires manual lifting to open; however, it will unlock and open when the switch on the driver's door is utilised.
Has anyone experienced comparable problems or can offer insights into what the issue might be? Assistance would be sincerely appreciated. My nearby Mercedes-Benz dealership intends to impose a fee of £210.00 solely for conducting diagnostics.
