I had an excellent experience with a MY24 Sportage GTLS AWD PHEV in the past. I upgraded to a MY26 Sportage GTLS AWD because it had all the extra features I wanted, but a PHEV version is now available. Today, I've been perusing the upcoming BYD Ti7 because I'm truly longing for a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. For nearly the same price as a brand-new Sportage PHEV, you can have this 7-seater PHEV with more than 400 horsepower, more than 70 miles of electric range, and ridiculous amount of technology. I approve of the design as a whole, even though it heavily borrows from LR Defender, particularly in the back 3/4. Is therapy necessary after contemplating a BYD?

No, I really doubt that you do. Several of these budget-friendly Chinese automakers are now producing automobiles with respectable aesthetics, in my opinion! A former moderator of this forum has converted and is now a proud owner of one!

However, it is entirely electric. In my opinion, PHEVs are useless.

My intention is to visit BYD shops in December 2026 to view the Ti7 in person. In China, it is offered as a BYD Ti7, however internationally, it is known as a Fangchengbao Ti7, which is a more upscale brand of BYD. There appears to be a lot of vehicle for the price.
