At this point, I'm really frustrated because I've replaced 64,000 miles' worth of components, including injectors, seals, the front differential, the propshaft, the driveshafts, the mounts, the brake lines, the timing chain, the fuel lines, and the boost lines, all since I bought the car. Within the first year of ownership, I have actually spent close to £6,000.

But I'd like to get some help with this code before diving in. The Turbo Underboost fault code is PO299-84.
I will smoke test it next week to be sure it's completely leak-free, but I have already replaced a hose that seemed to be failing and was causing a little oil misting. I stripped down my Map Sensor, which was pretty dirty, and gave it a good cleaning. Even when loaded up, this problem reappears at speeds of about 66 mph.

Thus, my diagnostic indicated that the actuator or turbo might be the culprit. Since this is a known issue, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced it. I'm considering purchasing an actuator to see if it helps, but I'd rather just go ahead and do the turbo.

I am genuinely seeking advice and suggestions.

Could it enter limp mode under heavy acceleration? If so, the culprit could be the large turbopipe that encircles the engine. Because the leak only opens at boost pressure, it is almost invisible.

I appreciate your response. For instance, after resetting it, I've noticed that it only happens when driving harshly; smooth driving has no effect. I put 100 miles on it today with no problems, but when the weather got warm, I decided to drive it harshly with higher revs in sport mode, and it came up with limited performance almost immediately.

How can I find this part? Is there a number or a diagram somewhere?

Since LR072134 was the hose that was visibly leaking, I have just replaced it. Does it have a spare hose?

I have checked the actuator and the turbo appears to be working properly; there is no movement. Tommow, I will jack up the car again. Although doing so would produce a different code, I'd like to exhaust all other possibilities before settling on a turbo, so I'm considering checking the EGR valve and cooler filter simultaneously with this investigation. I intend to investigate this thoroughly, possibly accompanied by a smoke machine, in the hopes of discovering something.
