I appreciate the update once more.

I would have presumed that an airbag would have deployed in the event of a collision.

I will henceforth focus more on my seat belts, which I have neglected until this point.

I detached the lower fastener of each front seat belt to examine the webbing inside the sleeve. The two folded stitched flaps are designed to tear in a controlled fashion during a frontal collision. The seams and flaps appeared to be in impeccable condition, thus, whether justified or not, I detached the red label - which came off effortlessly. It is 'noteworthy' that an electronically regulated pre-tensioner, designed to tighten the belt, was also offered as an SRS feature in these vehicles and was engaged simultaneously with the front airbags. In my opinion, the functioning of the two types appears to be counterproductive, as they operate the webbing in opposing directions during an accident. As the Americans express - contemplate that!

I failed to capture an image of the webbing, but if anyone is eager to view it, I will do so tomorrow.

This is an aspect to which I had devoted minimal attention before.
