...long story short, changing the slave cylinder ive managed to drop a one of the bolts into the bell housing ( PLONKER ) through the pushrod hole. MG MIDGET 1500....... i heard it hit the bottom so there must be space in there ? .... thoughts anyone pls, leave it? ... take the whole thing apart ? .... does anyone know any tricks ?

Undo the engine to bellousing bolts, loosen the engine and gearbox mounts and gently prise a gap between the engine and gearbox. Make the gap wider at the bottom and put a couple of wedges (e.g handle of a screwriver, half inch thick bit of wood etc) to space the bellousing away from the back of the engine. Use a bit of stiff wire to fish around in the bottom of the bellhousing for the bolt.

Hopefully though you will have successfully sorted this in the time since your post :)
