I’m hoping for some learned intel on a pretty disappointing brake pedal on my 1977 B roadster. It’s disappointing as pretty much every braking component on the car is new. With the engine stopped, the brake pedal has minimal travel and feels like a really good pedal.
However, with the engine running the pedal travel increases a lot and it becomes a poor pedal. The brakes work - but the pedal travel is a real worry. I’ve bled the brakes through several times and feel pretty sure there is no air in the system. The brake master cylinder is new and so is the servo, I can see no issues with the hose from the servo to the inlet manifold - and tested the valve in the manifold - which seems fine - it’s the only component in the braking system that hasn’t been changed.
I guess I could go ahead and just change it - but I don’t think it’ll make any difference. I feel I’m missing something - but can’t see what it is. Any ideas please fellas?
