I know there are lots of queries about overheating but this is one is about the hotness of the actual steel of the engine, plugs, thermostat housing and everything on the engine block. It happens when the engine has been idling for about 5 minutes. The thermostat is opening and the water circulating but the water isn't boiling! But the heat of the engine is intense and it would almost burn your fingers if touched. I have read that the MGB can get hot but is this heat normal? If not what is causing the heat? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks
