Re: Oddball MGB Roadster 1975 LLG 551P

What are you basing your suspicions on ? Have you tracked down the build sheet information or manufacturer's paperwork to suggest the way it is now is not the way it left the factory ?

Re: Classic MG advise

First off contact the DVLA / VOSA to see if the car can be registered / registration refreshed on a V5 whilst retaining it's current registration. Its not a show stopper if not as you can apply for an age related number. Either way you will attract more interest from buyers if this can be taken car ...

Re: MOT exemption - substantial changes?

Personally I would not regard this as a substantial change. The bumpers and their bracketry have just been replaced, a styling exercise really. An example of a substantial change would be something along the lines of cutting out the underside of an MGB to graft in the floor, suspension, bulkhead and...

Re: Restyling MGB GT Advice please

I am rebuilding an accident damaged Rubber bumper MGBGT and was undecided for months about which way to go on the bumpers. Like many I prefer the look of the chrome bumpers but I eventually decided that rather than tread the usual path of chrome bumper conversion I would look at a way of keeping it ...

They may be a bit wider than the MGB seats but i think people have made them fit. They are quite popular on the US MGB forums I think

Re: bonnet scoop for mgb

Im a great fan of the 4 barrel carbs myself and will be going that route with my V8 conversion. Also the self contained fuel injection systems in a 4 barrel carb look a like body such as the Holley Sniper are well worth a look albeit more costly. . Just a thought- but how about a replica MGC bonnet ?

Re: some direction

If you are in the UK I would start with DVLA. For a small fee they will send you details of the previous owners and any significant information such as colour changes etc. Writing to the previous owners is always an idea. Many will have moved but you would be surprised at how often people leave a fo...
